PRE & POSTNATAL PHYSIOTHERAPY

Our physios are passionate about helping mums and mums to be.  They have experience in pre and post natal physiotherapy and can help with bladder, bowel or pelvic floor concerns during or after pregnancy as well as treat for any pains you may develop during and after in your lower back, upper back or around the groin and pelvis, wrist and thumb.  

Common issues experienced that we can treat are:

The Health2Mama Ultimate Recovery Session


Having become a mother herself Bex Aldridge put together the ‘Ultimate Recovery Session’ for mums after birth in the comfort of their own home. This session can be 90 mins or 2 hours and can be anytime after birth but is recommended within in the first 6 weeks.  It includes:

  • relaxing and pain relieving postnatal massage for mum - can include lactation relief massage and ultrasound (click here for more info)
  • 20 min baby massage session including teaching mum basic massage techniques to carry out with their baby (click here for more info)
  • check for the presence of a diastasis recti (DRAM)
  • check of pelvic floor function
  • teaching and checking basic pelvic floor & core exercises
  • assessing the lifting, feeding and carrying techniques of the mother and baby and advising how to prevent the onset of upper and low back pain, chest and shoulder pain
 250sgd for 90 Mins (inc. 45 min postnatal massage)

    Laura owns and runs Health2u with Bex Aldridge. She has worked in various clinical settings in both the United Kingdom and Singapore, where she spent three years at Jurong Health hospitals working in neuro-rehabilitation, geriatric, acute orthopaedic and musculo-skeletal departments. Laura has a very fun and lively manner which helps to motivate clients to exercise and participate in their physiotherapy. She is also a certified dry needling practitioner. Laura is one of our experts in pre and postnatal physiotherapy to relieve low back pain, sacroiliac pain and other pains associated with pregnancy. She also is experienced in correcting a Diastasis Recti and helping restore bladder control with pelvic floor exercises. She specialises in designing and putting programmes of physiotherapy into practice: therapeutic exercise; manipulations; massage; education; the use of electro-therapeutic and other modalities, with a focus on being active. She is also an experienced ergonomics assessor, on which subject she oversees set-ups and delivers talks. In her spare time, Laura enjoys Pilates, going to the gym and exploring South East Asia

    Ezora is a Certified physiotherapist since 2012.  She first worked with Jurong Health establishing the rehab protocols and workflow for the critically ill patients of ICU.  Ezora then became a certified clinical educator training students in both (musculokskeletal) pain relief and sports physio over the years at Jurong Health.  She decided to pursue her interest in the musculoskeletal and sports side of physiotherapy by becoming a physio for the student athletes during the Annual University Games from 2015-2019 & Singapore Male and Female football teams whilst working privately for a clinic. Throughout the years of rehabilitating she developed a strong interest in an Womens Health and using her combined skills as a musculoskeletal physio and sports physio to treat pain developed during pregnancy and after birth; and also to help mums effectively maintain strength and pelvic floor function during pregnancy and recover and build strength again after birth.    She has extensive experience in Diastasis Recti healing rehab, relieving painful conditions such as sacroiliac pain, pubic symphysis pain, round ligament pain and back pain and also lactation relief and clearing blocked milk ducts.   Ezora has a great reputation for her prenatal and postnatal massage techniques. Through her experience with sports teams her use of Kinesiology taping, rehab techniques and strengthening has been adapted to help mums.    She is also undertaking regular courses with the Australia Physiotherapy Association (APA) to continuously upgrade her skills in treating women at different life stages. Ezora can speak fluid English and Cantonese and as a person Ezora is well liked being kind, considerate and very dedicated to her clients with advanced skills in manual therapy, massage and exercise programs.

    Kai Ling is an AHPC registered physiotherapist specialising in pain, injury and rehabilitation.  She qualified in 2012 and has vast experience from both the public hospital and private sector receiving various excellent service quality awards. She has solid experience working with mums treating prenatal/postnatal pains,  restoring pelvic floor control and rectifying Diastasis Recti after birth. Moving beyond routine diagnosis and quick fixes, Kai Ling takes the time to thoroughly evaluate and solve the root cause of the problem.  She treats a range of musculoskeletal conditions from office workers, athletes to pregnant ladies helping them to reach their goals of pain free movement and achieving high performance in sport. Kai Ling believes in working to improve the overall health of her clients helping to prevent the chronic diseases developing.  Proper diet and exercise are encouraged in their role of preventative medicine.   Her approach in physiotherapy is holistic and individualised to the person.  Clients are encouraged to participate in the treatment process so that the best outcomes can be achieved.

    Mok Ying RongAHPC Registered Physiotherapist

    Ying Rong graduated from Queen Margaret University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, and is a certified physiotherapist with 4 years of experience in acute hospital and clinic setting, specializing in post-surgery, sports injury, elderly and clients in pain. While at Farrer Park Hospital she provided quality care for both inpatient and outpatients of all age groups and diverse conditions including joint trauma, degenerative conditions, spinal infections, nerve injuries, fractures and amputations. Ying Rong is passionate about rehabilitating patients with musculoskeletal and neurological issues back to pain-free status and currently sees a mixture of post-surgery and musculoskeletal patients in the comfort of their own homes. Ying Rong is a National distance runner and holds the record for the Singapore Half Marathon. With a keen interest in running she has spearheaded a running gait analysis program.

    Sharmala has been working as a physiotherapist for 14 years. She started out in community rehabilitation before moving to the sports and musculoskeletal field. She has work experience in sports and musculoskeletal field since 2008 when she was practising at the Singapore Sports School. Since 2010, she started working private physiotherapy and doctor’s clinics. She has a passion for treating Athletes and dancers as well as conducting talks and workshops on injury prevention and management as well as proper office ergonomics. Sharmala has a special interest in prenatal and postnatal physiotherapy including healing of the diastasis recti and treating pregnancy and post pregnancy pains in the back and pelvis areas.  With her sports background she can help mums return back to fitness and strength safely. Sharmala is always smiling, has a bubbly demeanour and is very friendly. She always goes above and beyond what she can provide for her patients. In her spare time, she enjoys running and going to the gym, as well as enjoys spending time with her two children.
